Signing MOU between Al Ofoq and the Ministry of Education and Higher education

  • 5.9.2016 - Al Ofoq foundation for youth development signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Education and Higher education. The signing was In the presence of Minister Dr. Sabri Saddam and Dr. Mohammad Al Fararjeh (Foundation executive director) of Al Ofoq Foundation. The signing of the memorandum came during a meeting hosted by the ministry for a number of civil institutions concerned with the education and development issues and development service. The  signing was attended by Undersecretary Basri Saleh and Assistant of Undersecretary for Planning and Development Mr Azzam Abu Baker and number of general managers and representatives of partner institutions and the ministry. 


    Saydam explained that this stage bearing a distinctive educational semantics. Especially as it comes at the beginning of the school year titled "challenge and insist" under the new national curriculum, and a program for the digitization of education and the integration of vocational and technical education in public education, and other activities and programs aimed noting that the three phases affected about 100 national institution partner.


    Saydam thanked all partner institutions for their support of the educational sector, and their cooperation with the ministry in order to contribute to the development and implementation of programs and projects aimed to serve the educational system service.

     

    The partner institutions are:

     Foundation of Childhood programs, Al Ofoq foundation for youth development,  Awareness and Media Association for humanitarian action, Centre for innovation teacher, Palestinian Youth Association for Leadership and Rights, Company of Aswat for non-profit development, Palestinian Vision Foundation, Community of Al Laklak Tower and Women’s Studies Center.


    Dr Fararjeh said that this agreement comes within the framework of full harmony in working with the Ministry of Education. It is to enhance the permanent partnership which is based on the development of the necessary tools to serve this important sector. He has also praised the Ministry of Education’s and partner institutions efforts in the implementation of plans and programs. These efforts were designed to support students’ and to provide them all forms of support.
